Hi Bryan, We opted not to go with illumination on the second generation for a few reasons one was that we updated the reticle design from a BDC in the Gen I to a full MIL etched tactical Christmas Tree style design in the Gen II. Illumination gets a little trickier here with this style of reticle and we didn't like the way the old illumination system functioned with the updated design.
